Proceedings of the GWS Conferences

The Society hosts a regular (biennial) conference which serves as one of the USA's leading forums on protected area issues. For most of the conferences since 1986 a proceedings volume has been published. The proceedings for the 1986 conference were published as an 8-volume set; 7 of these are still in print and are available individually. One-volume proceedings of the 1992, 1995, 1997, 1999, and 2001 conferences are available. Proceedings were not produced for the 1988 and 1990 conferences (the abstracts/program booklet for the 1990 conference is available).
