Please note: Your conference registration, and reservations for any special events, will not take effect until payment is received by the GWS office.  If you want to take advantage of the earlybird discount, your payment must be received on or before February 6.

Full-week registration includes attendance at conference sessions, attendance at GWS-sponsored evening receptions, refreshments during breaks between sessions, and all conference information materials. Two-day registration includes attendance at conference sessions on two consecutive days, attendance at any GWS-sponsored evening receptions occurring on those days, refreshments during breaks between sessions, and all conference information materials. (Only one two-day registration is allowed per person; otherwise you must register at the full-week rate.) Single-day registration includes attendance at conference sessions for that day, information materials, and refreshments during breaks between sessions. (Only one single-day registration is allowed per person; otherwise you must register at either the two-day or full-week rate, as appropriate.)

GWS Member rate. George Wright Society members who have paid their dues for 2015 may register at the lower GWS member rate. Anyone who joins the GWS prior to or at the time of registering may take this discount. Annual dues are $60 for Individuals, $115 for Institutions, and $25 for full-time Students (add $15 to these dues for memberships outside of North America). GWS members whose dues have been paid for 2014 will need to renew for 2015 prior to registration. GWS Institutional Members may designate up to three people as their delegates; each of these delegates is then entitled to register at the discounted GWS Member rate. For parks or other institutions that plan to send several people to the conference for the full week, this delegate benefit more than pays for the extra cost of the Institutional Membership. To join as an Institutional Member, check the box on the registration form and include your dues payment along with your registration. You will designate your delegates on the registration form.

Student rate. Currently registered, full-time students can attend at the Student rate, which applies both to GWS members and non-members. One must be a full-time student to qualify. A copy of your current course schedule showing date of enrollment may be requested by the GWS office in order to complete your registration.

Spouses, partners, and other family members may attend the field trips and special events by paying the requisite fee. Please give details in the “Special Instructions” box on the registration form.

Register early and save! If you send your registration and payment on or before February 6, 2015, you will save money and have a better chance of getting the field trip you want. Payment must be received by this date in order to get the discounted rate.

Last day for online registration is March 19.  After that, you can still register for the conference on-site in Oakland.

Cancellations may be made in writing or by phone; applicable fees are listed above. Cancellations of field trips or special events are not refundable after February 6, 2015.  Registrations may be transferred at no charge; please notify the registrar in advance.

A note on fees.  To enable these conferences to be offered, everyone who participates, in any capacity, must register and pay a registration fee.  (The only exceptions are Plenary Session speakers who have been invited by the Conference Committee, recipients of George Melendez Wright Student Travel Scholarships, and recipients of Native Participant Travel Grants.)  Even if you are coming to participate in a single session, you must register; a single-day rate is available (see table above).

Note to session organizers: People whom you invite to present papers, serve as panelists, or otherwise take part in your session must pay a registration fee as described above.  It is your responsibility as session organizer to ensure that your invited participants will pay their own way, or else you must cover their registration fees for them.
