Membership in the George Wright Society is open to anyone who shares our goals. We welcome members from anywhere in the world. Benefits include:

• Our journal, The George Wright Forum.
• Discounts on registration fees for the GWS biennial conferences. Institutional Members can designate up to 3 people to attend the GWS conferences at the discount rate, and will receive recognition in the conference program book.
• A 25% discount on all GWS publications.
• Unlimited access to the GWS office for inquiries and requests for assistance. If we don’t know the answer, we can usually point you in the right direction.
• Attention Libraries! We now have a Library Subscription rate of US$55.

The main benefit of membership in the GWS is being part of a like-minded community of professionals who care passionately about the scientific and heritage values of parks, protected areas, and cultural sites.

Membership / Subscription Options

• Regular Membership for Individuals: US$55 for the calendar year.
• Institutional Membership: US$110 for the calendar year.
• Supporting Member: US$150 for the calendar year.
• Patron: US$1,000 (and up) for the calendar year.
• Student Membership: US$25 for the calendar year. (Full-time students only.)
• Life Membership: US$1,000.
• Sustaining Life Membership: Life Membership + US$55 per year. Open to all current and newly joining Life Members.
• Library Subscription: US$55 for the calendar year. (Subscription to The George Wright Forum with no additional membership benefits. Available to libraries only.)
  
  Memberships run with the calendar year. New members joining during the last quarter of the year are enrolled as members through the following year at no extra charge.
  
  If you live outside the USA, Canada, or Mexico, a US$10 mailing surcharge is added to all Regular, Institutional, Student, and Sustaining Life Memberships, and to all Library Subscriptions.

By fax. Fax your contact and credit card information to 1-906-487-9405. Be sure to include your VISA/MasterCard/AMEX information (name as it appears on card, card number, and expiration date).

Information We’ll Need

If you are signing up by phone, fax, or mail, we’ll need your name, full mailing address (including ZIP/postal code), telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail address. Optional: you can also give us up to four areas of interest or expertise which we list in our membership database.

• About your privacy. As a matter of policy, the George Wright Society does not make commercial use of the personal information you give us. On occasion we share (at no charge) our membership and conference mailing lists (mailing addresses only — never phone/fax numbers) with other kindred nonprofit organizations for one-time mailings. We also sometimes receive inquiries from people looking to connect with others with a particular expertise in the park professions. When this happens, we do not give out names and contact information of our members. Instead, we forward the inquiry to those members who match the profile and let them decide whether to respond.

Payment

The George Wright Society accepts personal and institutional checks, money orders, VISA, MasterCard, and American Express as payment for dues and publications. Checks and money orders must be in U.S. funds. If you are paying by credit card, be sure to include all digits of your account number, the three-digit security code on the back of the card, the expiration date, and your name as it appears on the card.
