Visitation to Yellowstone NP sets record

Yellowstone National Park is still setting attendance records this year. The park received nearly 3.3 Million visitors so far in 2009. That number is almost 8 percent more than at the same time last year. It’s already 100,000 more than the all-time record for a complete year set in 2007. All this despite lower October numbers than last year.

The National Park Service attributes the steep rise in visitation this year to national park visits being a good value and fuel prices throughout 2009 have remained lower than in 2008 and relatively stable.
