Enviro group canvasses support for a Grand Canyon watershed NMon
GRAND CANYON, Ariz. - The Grand Canyon Wildlands Council (GCWC) and other environmental groups are seeking input from the public, including tribes in the area, on whether a national monument should be formed near the Grand Canyon.
The idea would be to preserve large diameter pine trees, archeological sites, wildlife habitat and promote voluntary retirement of grazing permits.
