Legislation would consolidate all USNPS-related laws under one heading
All the laws governing the National Park Service (NPS) would be replaced by one “positive law,” under legislation approved by the House Judiciary Committee. H.R. 1950 would put all the laws governing NPS, dating back to the mid-19th Century, into one place, including those giving NPS responsibility for conservation and historic preservation.
The effects are merely technical – the bill aims to make NPS laws easier to use by putting them in one place and reorganizing them.
