Uzbekistan: Two 17th-century madrassas damaged by construction of new amphitheater

Uzbekistan has admitted that construction work on a new amphitheatre in the ancient Silk Road city of Samarkand has caused damage to some historical sites.

Two 17th century madrassas built in the city's famous Registan Square - Sher-Dor and Tilya-Kori - have started leaning by 8 centimeters.
