Twelve Asian countries agree to transboundary PA partnership

NEW DELHI: Recognising that well-being of all societies depends on healthy ecosystems, government officials from 12 Asian countries including India, China and Pakistan and global conservation organisation IUCN have agreed to establish a new transboundary partnership on protected areas.

The Asia Protected Areas Partnership will be co-chaired by the Government of Japan, as the first country co-chair, and IUCN, the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
